It’s been a little while since we last blogged as 2010 ended up being a very busy and good year for DMC with lots of developments and improvements in products and services. Unfortunatley our blog took a back set, but we promise to keep updated this year.

2011 also promises to be an exciting year for Direct Mortgage Centre, mortgage rates are very low which looks promising for those clients looking to re-mortgage in the coming months, with some fantastic fixed rates and tracker rates and some completely fees free. Insurance premiums seem to have fallen a little and with new product development within DMC itself in particular the recent launch of our Asset Protection Service, it really does look exciting.

Not forgetting, May 15th will see the 10th birthday for us, its hard to believe that we have been offering professional quality advice for 10 years, where has the time gone. I’m sure we will be doing something exciting to celebrate, join in and help us make it special. Those who remember that I helped with their mortgage sometime over the last 6 years, through either Mortgage Directions or Direct Mortgage Centre, will know that a lot has happened to the mortgage market in that time and you could be losing out!

Because of the unprecedented low interest rates that we have seen over the last year, quite a few clients have stayed with their current lenders variable rate once their Fixed or Tracker rate expired. This was a good idea when the Bank of England first started to reduce its rates at a considerable pace and for some of you it still is a good idea.

What you may not know is that lenders are offering very attractive tracker and fixed rates at the moment, even more so if you have a
nice chunk of equity in your home.

We may have a tracker rate which is lower than your lenders variable rate or you may prefer to take advantage of the great low fixed
rates and secure your monthly payments for the next few years, especially if you think that rates may increase in 2011, why not fix now.

Welcome to 2010 and a happy new year to you all.  Two weeks off over christmas and feeling refreshed for the year ahead.
