A new report from the National Audit Office indicates that some debt advice charities are struggling to cope with demand for help from consumers who are struggling with their debts.

The National Audit Office Report suggests that at least two debt agencies are refusing to take on new clients and others have waiting lists of up to 6 weeks for a face to face appointment.

The longer a family waits for help usually the worse their situation becomes and at a time when they really need help the wait only adds to anxiety and stress.
